In April 2024, Earthlings will have the opportunity to observe meteor showers resulting from the Earth crossing meteor streams from the Lyrids and Pi-Puppids.
From April 16 to 25, we will witness the meteor stream from the Lyrids (April Lyrids, LYR). The meteors of this stream appear to originate from the constellation Lyra. The peak activity period of this meteor shower falls on April 22.
From April 18 to 25, we will observe the meteor stream from the Pi-Puppids (A Pi Puppids). This stream is associated with the periodic comet Grigg-Skjellerup. The peak activity period of this shower falls on April 23 and 24.
